Phones

There aren’t any phones I know of that meets NSC requirements. With that in mind, KCI will be doing a service by producing their phones. All phones will be a fully touchscreen smartphone which will allow for the installation of apps to meet the requirements, and therefore function across the board to the needs of the user. There are 2 types of phones. There are terrestrial phones, and there are cellular phones. A terrestrial phone is a phone that connects to the landline services. This will include DECT and Wifi phones. Since there is no POTS line, the base station for the DECT phone must support at least 1 SIP account for calling capabilities.

All phones will use the Kal-OS platform for services. There will be appropriate radios in the phone to connect to the proper services. Obviously, everyone needs a phone. terrestrial phones are becoming more of a rarity, but it will still exist since the phone network uses SIP for communications. As long as you have Internet, you have phone capabilities. There is still some demand for having a terrestrial phone line in case the person needs to make a call while their cellular phone is charging.
