KCI will have 3 lineups of notebook PCs. One of them is exclusively for the education market. The other two notebooks will provide for the general public. The 3 notebooks will be the flagships for everyone to consider. Keep in mind that the personal computer has become personal. Rarely do multiple people use the same machine. Since everyone is likely to have their own computer, it would just make sense to offer notebook PCs. The other type of computer is a keyboard computer. Essentially, the computer is built into the keyboard. This is intended for customer service and call centers where space is a premium, and a notebook PC is not the most appropriate selection.
While there are other desktop style computers, these are a dying breed, and usually catered to niche markets. For example, a gamer might want a desktop PC to have more capable hardware in their system. In addition, a larger monitor will be an ideal choice considering the computer is not connected with the monitor. The NSC minimum standards are noted below. However, KCI will likely exceed minimum standards where they can. The goal is to be better than minimum standards.
