A Series

The A Series of computers are the affordable lineup. Like the cellular phones, and PDAs – these are the cheaper end of machines, and meets minimum NSC requirements. There are two different types of models. There is the 14″ notebook. These are for people that want a smaller machine, and something that is easily transportable. It is this size that would be given to students, and faculty (albeit, and upgraded model). Last, there is the 16″ notebook. This has additional storage options, and support for a numeric keypad. All systems will be running Kal-OS which is the nation’s preferred OS. You can learn more about Kal-OS by going to https://kal-os.kaldus.com. While the roots of Kal-OS is based off of Debian Linux, this will be a completely new, and different OS. Therefore, Linux app support will not be an option.

14″ Notebook

This system will have a variety of options to choose from. As with all systems, KCI will meet the national standards of upgradable memory and storage, but the purchaser will be able to get upgrades on the memory so they don’t have to buy extra resources, or get them installed. The options are as below:
CPU – Low end AMD running at 2Ghz Hexacore or better.
RAM – 1×16GB, 1×32GB, 1×48GB, 1×64GB 2×16GB, 2×32GB, 2×48GB, 2×64GB
Storage (NVME 2230) – 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, 2TB
Storage (NVME 2230) – 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, 2TB

16″ Notebook

This system will be larger than the 14″ model, and therefore offer more options. As with the 14″, KCI will meet NSC requirements, and again – have upgradeable memory and storage. The customer will be able to choose the components they will want so they won’t have to purchase anything more, nor install it on their own.
