The A series of phones are intended to be affordable even to a low income household. With that in mind, KCI will also need to be able to comply with NSC requirements. With that in mind, the A series will meet the minimum specs which will include the following:
- 2Ghz Dual Core CPU, 4GB memory
- 128GB storage + micro-SDXC card slot
- 6″ and a resolution of 350ppi
- 12MP rear camera, and 12MP front camera
- Wifi-6, NFC, and bluetooth 5 capability
- SIM 1 – nano-SIM, SIM 2 – eSIM
In turn, KCI will create 2 A series phones. One will be a slab, and the other will be a flip phone. A flip phone is opened to a full size phone, and about half the size when closed. This is different from a book style folding phone. The standard A series phone will be $200, and the flip version will be $350. This will allow the customer to again – be able to afford for phones that the household will need without sacrificing standards as imposed by the NSC.
