There are some software that would be designed exclusively for communications. There will only be a few of them as other tools such as a SIP client, or email client are in other categories. However, communications is not less important. The programs here could be invaluable to the user as they will want something that will serve their needs. The following programs are as follows:
- K-Fax
- K-Messages
- K-Stamps
K-Fax
For anyone needing to rely on faxes for their personal life, or business will find K-Fax as invaluable. Instead of printing documents out, and using a dedicated fax machine to send the documents, everything can be done in the computer’s K-Fax client. Setting up K-Fax will need to be done before hand, and this can be done with using a telephone provider. In addition, as long as there’s a network connection to the Internet, the computer will also be able to receive faxes.
To send a fax will be similar to sending an email message. The TO: is the telephone number. The SUBJECT: is the subject of the fax, and the body will go on the cover page. The sender will attach .odt or .pdf files to send. The fax will use the industry standard FOIP system to send the fax over the internet.
K-Messages
K-Messages is a messaging service available to anyone with a Kaldan computer, or handheld and acquires an NIN. Once their NIN is received, they will use this as the ID for the K-Messages app. This service will be free, and baked into the purchase of the appropriate device.
K-Stamps
At least from my perception, LibreOffice doesn’t handle #10 envelopes very well. With that said, K-Stamps will include full support for #10 envelopes, as well as many other common formats. K-Stamps will allow for the user to provide their name and address in the top right, and the addressee in the center. K-Stamps will also be able to save addresses in their address book for commonly used addresses. K-Stamps will also be the default application to use with Kal-Stamps which is provided by Kal-Post.
